NOTE:

Always compare the playlist with the syllabus before starting to study. Some topics might miss out, and you’ll have no other option but to mug up Stallings PPTs. The subject is dry, and you can score well if you can write a lot/mug-up a lot. Refer to the following: Sandeep Sarathi’s NIS full playlist

Module 1: Fundamentals of Security

The starting part of this module is purely theory, so better mug it up from PPTs. For guidance in Encryption techniques, AES and DES, refer to the following Sandeep Sarathi’s NIS full playlist

Module 2: Public Key Crypto Systems, Key Management & Distribution

Problems from RSA and ECC may come (refer to above playlist). For Key management, Distribution and other boring theory topics of this chapter, refer to the following playlist

NOTE: For CAT1, you can also refer to Abishek Sharma’s playlist

Module 3: Hash Functions

Trust Sandeep Sarathi’s playlist. Also study with William Stalling’s book/ppt if you have time.

Module 4: MAC Codes & Digital Signatures

Stallings PPT first, and then Sandeep Sarathi’s playlist if you’re still confused.

Module 5: User Authentication (dry theory)

Trust Sandeep Sarathi

Module 6: Transport Level Security & E-mail Security (dry theory)
